The church was built in 1927 according to plans by architect Joseph Jentgen in the Art Deco style on the site of the old church, which was demolished. It is an atypical, very rare architectural style for Luxembourg. The bell tower is octagonal and the church also has two smaller towers on either side of the entrance portal. The floor plan is oval; this shape is emphasised by the structural elements on the ceiling. Some of the exterior walls feature visible slate from the Ardennes, while the window stones are made of red sandstone, which is atypical for this region.
A few years ago, the parish of Ulflingen-Weiswampach decided to use this church as a ‘family and youth church’, changing the traditional seating arrangement in favour of a communal form. The youth choir is based here.
